Is It The War on Drugs or The War for Drugs to Control the Global Market? Part 1

Welcome back to another blog post from The One Host with A Billion Voices blog site, I truly hope you enjoyed the last piece we put together pertaining to the division within the democratic political party that was made to maintain the power structure of their financial backers (CORPORATE INTEREST). I can only hope that the last blog was very insightful and informative, if you are reading this blog after reading our previous blog then allow me to be be the first to say thank you, I appreciate your support and interest in learning about what’s really going on. I am almost certain that we pissed off quite a few readers off with our truth telling on their current president and his flaky political party. I would love to apologize to you all as my attempt to make everything better, but there will be no apologizing coming your way from us for speaking the truth, and providing additional information to back it up! Our job was to provide information to raise your awareness of the behind scene deals that are made between congress and it’s financial backers. To give you a better understanding in knowing who is actually running your country with or without your vote, though both parties are guilty of misleading you, we the people are guilty of not wanting to become more informed. We are guilty of allowing our emotional ties to these particular parties to overshadow the obvious truth of knowing that this government at times is not conducting itself as the People’s government.

The One Host with a Billion Voices is the sister site of Globally Speaking Radio that’s coming soon in which will consist of a combination of music and weekly talk radio. Our goal will be to both entertain and inform you at the same time, but back to the business at hand the post of the week “Is it the war on drugs or the war for drugs to control the global market?”

For as long as I can remember America has been engulf in it’s ongoing war on drugs, and thus far we have been getting our butts whipped because the flow of drugs are still plentiful. In my era it was Crack that dominated the communities where I resided, there were countless people that I knew personally who either got rich, hooked, killed or locked up because of Crack. In my previous post I shed some light on just how Crack was able to penetrate into the urban communities throughout the country with the assistance of your friendly neighborhood government due to their involvement in the Iran/Contra  scandal. Movies like “Scarface” hope glorify drug dealing in my community just like what the movie “The Warriors” did to help promote gang banging in the early 80′s throughout the nation. The impact these movies had made on our physic was astonishing, something comparable to the influences of gangsta rap on our youth today. But it wasn’t the movies that were bringing drugs into our communities nor was it brought in by the local drug dealers because cocaine isn’t home grown, it’s imported. Which brings us back to the whole Iran/Contra scandal, it was made public that our government hands weren’t clean, it was discovered that in order to raise money to accomplish their (Government) goals, there’s no limit to what they’re willing to do or hurt. Documentaries like “Cocaine Cowboys” help shed some light on the import of drugs, and how cities like Miami were being built and redeveloped off the money.

America does not have the capabilities to produce the coca plant that makes cocaine, nor do we have the capabilities to produce opium poppy that makes heroin and this is no mystery, the only mystery is how are these drugs able to get into our country so easily? The most vital link to world trade on the Western hemisphere is the Panama Canal in which was owned and controlled by the United States between 1904 -1999 today it’s currently controlled by the Panamanian government. However it wasn’t a smooth acquisition for the Panamanian government as  originally planned by the signing of the treaties between President Carter and General Omar Torrijos in 1977. In 1989 Panama was on the verge of losing it all due the invasion of U.S. forces under the orders of President George Bush. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Just_Cause At the time General Noriega was considered public enemy number with the U.S. due to Noriega’s close relations with drug-lords around the world. But before Noriega became the man the U.S. loved to hate, he too like Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden once worked alongside the CIA

Noriega had sided with the U.S. rather than the USSR in Central America, notably in sabotaging the forces of theSandinista government in Nicaragua, and the revolutionaries of the FMLN group in El Salvador. Noriega received upwards of $100,000 per year from the 1960s until the 1980s, when his salary was increased to $200,000 per year.[8] Although he worked with the Drug Enforcement Administration to restrict illegal drug shipments, he was known to simultaneously accept significant financial support from drug dealers,[7] because he facilitated the laundering of drug money, and through Noriega they received protection from DEA investigations due to his special relationship with the CIA.[9]
Beginning in the middle of the 1980s, relations between Noriega and the United States started to deteriorate. In 1986, U.S. President Ronald Reagan started negotiations with General Noriega, requesting that the Panamanian leader peacefully step down after Noriega was publicly exposed in the New York Times by Seymour Hersh, and later exposed in the Iran-Contra Scandal.[10] Reagan pressured him with several drug-related indictments in U.S. courts; however, since extradition laws between Panama and the U.S. were weak, Noriega deemed this threat not credible and did not bend to Reagan’s efforts.[11] In 1988, Elliot Abrams and members of the Pentagon began pushing for a U.S. invasion, but Reagan refused, due to Bush’s ties to Noriega through his previous positions with the CIA and the Task Force on Drugs, and their negative impact on Bush’s presidential campaign.[12] Later negotiations involved dropping the drug-trafficking indictments. In March 1988, an attempted coup against the government of Panama was resisted by Noriega’s forces. As relations continued to deteriorate, Noriega appeared to shift his Cold War allegiance towards the Soviet bloc, soliciting and receiving military aid from Cuba, Nicaragua, and Libya.[13] American military planners began preparing contingency plans for action against Panama.
In May 1989, during the Panamanian national elections, an alliance of parties opposed to the military dictatorship of Noriega counted results from the country’s election precincts before they were sent to the district centers. Their tally showed their candidate, Guillermo Endara, defeating Carlos Duque, candidate of a pro-Noriega coalition, by a nearly 3-to-1 margin. Endara was beaten up by Noriega supporters the next day in his motorcade.[7]
Noriega declared the election null and maintained power by force, making him unpopular among Panamanians. Noriega’s government insisted that it had won the presidential election and that irregularities had been on the part of U.S.-backed candidates from opposition parties.[14] Bush called on Noriega to honor the will of the Panamanian people.[7]

”Noriega’s government insisted that it had won the presidential election and that irregularities had been on the part of U.S. backed candidates from opposition parties”

This is an interesting allegation because the same accusations were made by other countries during their elections such as Egypt, Venezuela, Iran, and Libya. Each country experienced a rise from some mysterious opposition force that no one knew who they were and who were providing their funding. However, Libya didn’t have presidential elections due to the countries’ dictatorial structure, but it was Obama that called on Gaddafi to honor the will of the people by stepping down. The same thing was suggested by Bush to Noriega in Panama and when Noriega refused his country fell under attack by US forces.

Now here is where it gets tricky, Bush claims that he was invading Panama to cease the drug trafficking that was making its way into the US plus Noriega was corrupt by collecting pay offs from drug-lords all over the world because he was securing their money. Bush’s accusations weren’t off target because it was no secret that drug-lords were making big deposits into Panamanian bank accounts. However the invasion of Panama did not slow down the drug flow into the US, as a matter of fact the drug flow increased at a much greater rate into America after the invasion. Though Noriega was no saint, neither were the true intentions of the US, because whoever controlled the canal also controlled the money that were being passed through it. This post was no different than any other trading post throughout history, controlling the routes meant power for their country. This invasion wasn’t a move to secure the safety of the people of Panama, instead this was a move to secure the US ownership of the canal.

If the US were to lose ownership of the canal due to the signing of the treaty, millions if not billions of dollars would have had been lost, the only way to prevent that from happening was to break the deals that were made that kept the treaty intact. Within the treaty it was agreed that  in order for Panama to take over the canal it needed to have a military in place to secure it. Without a military in place the canal would remain under the control of the US. The invasion in 1989 granted the opportunity the US needed to justify maintaining control because the invasion resulted in wiping out the military force Panama had put in place to secure the canal. http://www.twnside.org.sg/title2/resurgence/2012/262/world2.htm

Now I know what you are thinking, this is pretty far fetch considering the fact that the US no longer have ownership of the canal because in 1999 the Panama Canal was returned back to Panama due to the terms of the treaty. The US no longer had control of the trading route that played a major role in trafficking drugs into the country, so billions of dollars were lost, however that would be short lived due to the opportunity 911 brought to the table.

(Politricks)In Order to Move Forward Some Key Players Needed to be Removed
All while I was growing up, I was never a fan of politics because to be honest with you I didn’t see where I as a African-American fit into the equation. My mother would always complain about the effects of Reaganomics in the early eighties and how much she couldn’t stand Reagan’s policies. However, considering that I was young at the time and ignorant of politics, I couldn’t quite grasp where my mother was coming from, but as I got older I  became very much aware of Reaganomics especially when it became time for me to apply for college. It was during this time where I realized that a great deal of financial aid for the poor were cut due to Reagan’s policies. When it came to politics it appeared that we as African-Americans had to take a back seat, meaning even though policies were being made we as African Americans were the last in line to benefit from them. Keep in mind, this is only my personal opinion for I do not represent the entire African American community. Hell that’s why you have Black Republicans, so by no means are we on the same page, nothing against Republicans lol.
Up until 2008 I completely ignored politics,  because as far as I was concerned they all were on the same team, it didn’t who they were from Carter to Bush to Clinton. Reasons for my attitude was due to my economic situation that remained constant since the days of struggling through college because I was still broke as hell. Allow me to give you example of what I mean when I say same team, back in the eighties it was under Reagan’s watch Crack was put on the streets in urban communities throughout the nation to raise money for Iran in the Iran-Contra Scandal. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/drugs/special/cia.html
By the time (Democratic President) Clinton stepped into office all he had to do was lock up every individual that was connected to Crack-Cocaine in which mind you was introduced to the inner city streets by (Republican President) Ronald Reagan. Due to this notorious (Crack/Cocaine Law) Clinton was able to lock up first time offenders of Crack/Cocaine for a minimum of 5 years in prison  http://www.aclu.org/criminal-law-reform/drug-sentencing-and-penalties this was a bill that was drafted while the Democrats had the majority of the seats in the house and was led by your current Vice President Joe Biden. Even though Clinton was granted the opportunity to reverse this bogus law he decided to refuse, in which resulted to enabling Clinton to lock up more African Americans in the history of the United States. As you can see both parties are pretty much on the same team, the only difference  between the two parties is the color of their jerseys. Every president just pick up where the previous president left off, this is why most if not all the policies that Ronald Reagan had put in placed in the 80′s are still untouched till this very day. One that stands out, the tax break for the rich or should I say wealthy because there is a difference…Mike Tyson was once (Rich) while Rockefeller is still currently (Wealthy) a big difference!
In comes Obama, causing all my issues with politics to run out the door in search for CHANGE and HOPE, the two infamous words that has been pimping us like two bit prostitutes. Because of Obama, I all of sudden had picked up an interest in politics, which wasn’t something new, for I had done the same with golf and tennis because of Tiger Woods and the William sisters. President Obama inspired me to take a closer look into politics and as a result it turned out to be a bitter sweet experience, bitter because it conformed what I knew all along (this is some Bullsh##), but also sweet because it gave me a better understanding of how the game of politics was actually being played. Now the words CHANGE and HOPE are completely mute to me when it comes to political parties, because the only CHANGE I see is the little bit of change that is moving out of my pockets and into theirs. On his road for the White House Obama promised all this change and transparency, how he was going to bring fourth Universal Healthcare, talk out our differences with other nations as oppose to going to war, and how he was to raise the tax on the rich. I knew something was shady when he admitted that he supported charter schools during his run, yet I’d overlooked it then not realizing that I would come to see the day where 54 public schools will be closed at one time. Obama used the support of the Unions to get into office, then turned his back on that same union when they needed his support in places like Wisconsin. Keep in mind, this is not a shot at Obama the man, this is a shot at a man playing politics with our lives. http://www.charteradvocate.org/recent-charter-news/130-barack-obama-strongly-restated-his-support-for-charter-schools
Like the politicians I too have become color blind because I realized that we are all in the same boat that is sinking to the bottom of the ocean. When I look at the demonstrators of Occupy Wall-Street in downtown, all I see is young white faces, and when I look at the unemployment line in the inner city, all I see is young black faces, so in actuality both of us are on the same page of being broke as hell in this country. Now I can’t place all our economic woes on our current president because in all honesty Obama inherit this debt from Bush and Bush inherit it from Clinton and so on and so on. Now the question people may ask is did Obama know what he was getting into? Me personally say yes, for he was a Harvard graduate, a very intelligent man and if my dumb behind can understand the dynamics of this political charade in such a short period of time, I’m pretty sure he figured it out as well before he decided to run.
As I see it, Obama used his political knowledge to his advantage to get elected, meaning he use the words CHANGE and HOPE to achieve the results he needed to get in. Obama knew before he walked into office that he wasn’t going to be able to raise the taxes on the wealthy because they were his major supporters http://www.opensecrets.org/pres08/contrib.php?cid=N00009638 , Obama knew he wasn’t going to be able to close Guantanamo Bay because too much money was invested, and besides the word terrorist still reigns with fear to our ears. And lastly Obama definitely knew there would be no soldiers withdrawn from Afghanistan on his watch anytime soon. http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/story/2009/12/01/obama-afghanistan001.html because our pride will not allow that to happen. Over these past few years I noticed how President Obama caved in to the Republicans will when it came to enhancing the conditions of the people such as Universal Healthcare, speaking up for the Unions, and Raising the taxes on the Wealthy. Yet when it came to attacking Libya, using drones to kill American Citizens who are suppose to be protected under the Constitution http://news.yahoo.com/dems-gop-press-obama-administration-drone-205450106–politics.html , or signing the National Defense Authorization Act, the Republicans were a non factor.
In the same last few years I noticed some Democratic leaders that were very outspoken and did not fully go along with some of things their president was doing. And as of recently to no surprise they are no longer in office, Dennis Kucinich who was very outspoken when President Obama made the decision to invade Libya  as  going as far to say the President should be up for impeachment, a bold move that was made by the congressman. So there should be no surprise to find out that his political career would come to a swift end shortly thereafter.   http://articles.washingtonpost.com/2012-03-06/politics/35450486_1_kucinich-james-traficant-barney-frank
Anthony Weiner was another outspoken democrat that truly represented the people to the best of his ability. Weiner was very vocal when it came to going toe to toe with the Republican party, Weiner wasn’t affraid to say the president was too soft on the Republican party. We have posted a clip from one of Weiner’s interviews with the press stating that the President didn’t fight hard enough when it came to standing up to the Republicans. So there should be no surprise that when the scandal broke about Weiner’s Twitter pics yours truly would be the first in line to throw Weiner under the bus to get him out the way so business of not fullfilling promises could continue. http://www.denverpost.com/recommended/ci_18267609?source=pkg
Now here we are in 2013, though we have entered a new year, I personally have returned back to my old self of not giving a damn about politics. President Obama has truly opened my eyes, for he has shown me that in this arena there are too many strings being pulled and it’s not by the people who believe in the power of the vote. Because if they truly had the power they would have had Universal Healthcare, taxes would have been raised on the wealthy, the banks would have not been bailed out, and our soldiers would currently be at home with their families. I did learn however, that there are some politicians trying to do their best to preserve the Constitution, there are a few that are truly trying to represent the people that voted for them. Unfortunately due to CORPORATE interest and Corporate controlled media, these poor politicians don’t have a snowball chance in hell of being able to make a significant change to enhance the conditions of the people. And even if they were able to get past those two obstacles, they would have to be concern of being thrown overboard by their own party in order to keep the ship afloat on Corporate money.

Was the Boston Shut Down a Military Practice Drill for Martial Law?
Now that the celebration if over, now that things can return back to normal, this will be the perfect time to asked some questions about what in the hell just happened here? Well I don’t know about most of you, but as for me there are still quite a few unanswered questions surrounding this whole Boston marathon bombing incident.
No one as of right now can provide a perfect reason to explain the two young men’s motives behind the bombings, as I see it, they appeared to be very young and very Americanized, meaning they appear to be enjoying living out the American dream. They did not fit the radical Islamic picture the media always seem to paint when we envision terrorist. I am not saying that a terrorist is suppose to look a certain way, instead what I’m implying is the fact that mainstream media plays a significant role when it comes to shaping our minds in what they want us to see and believe.  Is that an unfair assessment to make about our media? you may ask, and my response would be yes if the media wasn’t 100% owned and controlled by just a handful of Corporate interest. http://money.cnn.com/2003/06/02/news/companies/fcc_rules/
Due to the fact that corporate interest which represent 1% of the population yet owns 90% of our nation’s news stations,  it’s hard for me to completely buy into to what they ( The Media) are trying to feed me. Please allow me to make myself clear, this is in no way an attempt to disrespect or belittle our fellow American citizens that lost their lives and who were seriously injured in the bombing, because I am keeping you in my prayers. I just can’t help but to wonder if the victims of this horrible bombing were actually victims of  a much larger scheme? Something much larger than the two alleged assailants. As I stated earlier, we still don’t have a clear picture behind what transpired these young men’s actions to go out and harm innocent people, from what was initially reported by the media it was stated that the FBI had  nothing to go on and be convinced to single out a guilty party. Especially when you take into consideration the fact that from the very beginning the FBI stated they had nothing to go on because there were no warning signs from the outset. Meaning there were no letters, no suspicious behavior, no suspicious individuals that stood out from the crowd, this was reported in the news just hours after the bombing. http://gerarddirect.com/2013/04/16/terrorist-bombs-attack-the-boston-marathon-is-this-the-future-of-america/
What we do know is this, America is still in a recession, the wars are continuing 10 years later because these Middle-Eastern countries turned out to be more than what we had bargained for and as a result, it is drying up what’s left of our economic resources. The government can no longer afford to employ it’s workers, not as long as they are unionized this is why the public sector is now being replaced by the private sector or corporate interest.  Public schools are being wiped out to be replaced by charter schools and unions are under attack nationwide. Fire Fighters along with police officers are being laid off all over the nation, not to mention state and federal employees. Face it, your government can no longer carry you because the money is running out, and to add more money into the economy with another stimulus package will only weaken the already weakened dollar.
The beauty of nature is it’s will to survive, for example if a herd is slowed down and left vulnerable to predators due to a weak member then the herd will protect itself by leaving the weak behind as an offer to the predator in exchange for their survival. No different than a rat that will cut off it’s own foot in order to save itself, well the same laws of nature when it comes to survival will apply to our government that will  eventually have no choice but to shut down it’s money supply to save itself from total loss.
Once this happens it wouldn’t be hard for you to imagine the reaction of the people, and if you can imagine it,  then you don’t think our government can imagine it as well? So to protect herself from a major catastrophe that will be caused by her own citizens she ( the government) had to put safety procedures in place to suppress any sign of a resistance by the people. Now the question you may be asking yourself is why would this be necessary? Our country should be economically sound considering that we are the richest nation in the world, but are we? Since the 1970′s  due to the gas embargoes by Arab Nations under the Nixon, Ford and Carter Administrations, America was moving it’s companies out of the country, that is why major steel mills and auto plants in places like Detroit,  Michigan, Youngstown, Ohio and Gary, Indiana to name a few were drying up.  http://www.wisegeek.com/how-does-outsourcing-affect-the-us-economy.htm By the time Reagan stepped into office he saw the writing on the wall, he knew the only direction in which this country was headed was on a downward spiral. It was under Reagan’s term where they drafted Rex-84 that got exposed during the Oliver North Iran-Contra trial, due to at that time independent press and intense questioning by Congress, Rex-84 was leaked out to the public and instantly shutdown, at least so we thought.
By the time Clinton stepped into office, our country was drowning in debt, this was no secret and it wasn’t debt that was caused by neither Reagan nor Bush for they too inherit the Nation’s debt that spiraled out control since the late 60′s into the early 70′s. Though Clinton received a great deal of credit for restoring our nation’s debt, but what he don’t receive a great deal of credit for is the causing the economic bust in 2007 housing market. Under the Clinton Administration Wall-Street was running one of the largest scams the world had ever seen, it was called Derivatives and it was going on unrestricted right under Clinton’s nose and even though he was informed, President Clinton elected not to do anything to stop it, but don’t take my word for it, read the transcripts yourself http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/warning/etc/script.html
So by the time Bush Jr. stepped into office our nation was under water with debt, and due to the fact that the derivative scandal was done without the public’s knowledge serious paperwork or paper trails needed to be destroyed. Events transpired under Bush’s term in which we all know too well (911) but not did it inspire this ongoing war we are in that is draining our resources, but it also gave birth to the Patriot’s Act, the first assault inflicted on our Civil Liberties. Obama made plenty of empty promises on his trail for President, but reversing the Patriot’s Act wasn’t one of them not that would have matter anyway because as I stated, he made plenty of empty promises from the start. Instead what Obama decided to do was sign the National Defense Authorization Act in early 2012 behind the back of the American people. But in any military operation, it needs to be tested in order to get an idea of how knowing effective it can be in a real life situation. In other words, what will be the people response after realizing their civil liberties are being violated? Keep in mind people, it was not just the Boston police that were involved in the shut down, you also had the military out there as well. It was the media coverage that made me suspicious of the lock down, for they were all on the same page on not asking questions to explain the necessity to conduct such a massive shut down for one individual that ended up causing the city to lose millions of dollars during a recession.

Big Daddy Government Can No Longer Carry You
The time has finally come to an head, the realization of a fallen economy is beginning to sink into the minds of those that are fully aware of what’s going on. If you’re still in denial then shame on you, if you still have faith in your President and the CORPORATION in which he represents then shame on you. The writing is all over the walls, 53 schools closing in Chicago,  in Wisconsin teacher’s union are under attack, and Detroit’s police department is damn near completely wiped out. Now we’re witnessing illegal Immigrants being granted driver licenses in Illinois, and the entire prison population replacing the workforce throughout the nation. No longer are the inmates producing license plates, they are working for private CORPORATIONS from McDonald’s to Microsoft. http://www.globalresearch.ca/the-prison-industry-in-the-united-states-big-business-or-a-new-form-of-slavery/8289 Slavery is in full effect in year 2013, as a matter of fact it never been abolished just revised.
You have to admit, the plan was ingenious because where else can you find labor for the next 20 yrs or so at cut rate prices and never have to worry about paying a single cent in pension to your inmates/slaves for their services? Though the plan was ingenious, it was was necessary for the survival of America because she could no longer afford to pay full price for it’s services. What we are seeing now is that all these jobs are outsourcing it’s workforce into the private sector, like what we are seeing with the public to charter schools replacements throughout the nation. Once the Teacher’s Union fall no one will be safe and that’s including the police department to city workers. Once the unions fall so will your labor laws, soon everyone will be working longer hours on lower wages and just be happy to have a job.
This financial breakdown has been in the making for at least the last 15 yrs or so, the government was in a financial straits since Clinton was in office. And I’m not talking about the whole NAFTA deal that sent hundreds if not thousands of companies overseas because the great flight of companies had been going on since the 1970′s, instead I’m referring to the whole derivative scam that transpired under Clinton’s watch that evolved into the housing debacle in 2007. Though the derivative scam wasn’t your everyday typical cover story, the effect it had on the American people were massive as we can now see with the lost of homes and jobs due to the aftermath. To make a long story short, the derivative scam allowed Wall Street to gamble with your retirement money as well as savings without your knowledge or permission for that matter. It was during this period where Wall Street faced no restrictions from the government when it came to blowing your life savings with no regards. But just in case you weren’t aware of this incident, we have provided a link for you to take a look for yourself.

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/warning/view/

America wasn’t the only country affected by this scam on Wall Street, instead this destructive behavior  created a ripple effect that stretch across the seas and into Europe. Right now as we speak Europe is facing an immigration crisis along with a failing economy just like we are here at home. Massive protests has been going on in Europe for months due to their failing economy countries such as Spain and Greece are in dire straits and possibly on the verge of falling off the cliff. The reason why Europe’s economic crisis is not an isolated situation  because we over here in the U.S. is operating under the same bank as they are the (World Bank) so to think that what’s going on in Europe won’t reach our shores would be a very foolish notion  on our part.

 http://edition.cnn.com/2011/12/06/business/euro-summit-explainer

Well this blog wasn’t published to put fear in your hearts or be a bearer of bad news, instead we are putting together this blog to inform you that it’s time for you to create your on way. Realistically let’s be honest with ourselves, there are no jobs out here to hire us, and if we were able to get hired, by no means will we be able to work on that job for 20 plus yrs and retire. Due to the constant Scams that were pulled off on Wall Street along with these senseless wars that is draining our resources, the government is finding itself unable to keep us employed under their umbrella. So to alleviate their responsibilities they are shifting these once government jobs over into the private sector in our country. And the private sector is making damn sure you won’t be able to organize a union in their workforce, as a matter of fact, you will be so happy to just have a job that forming a union would be the last thing on your mind. The whole Occupy Wall Street Movement is showing us how these new found college graduates are unable to find work in the workforce once leaving school and to add fuel to the fire these kids are bombarded with student loans they can’t afford to pay. Never quite understood the philosophy of paying out so much money to earn a degree only to come out begging for a job, you would think that spending thousands of dollars to earn a degree, employment should be guaranteed.
The question now is are we sending our children down the wrong path in 2013? Sending them to school to earn an degree to look for work as oppose to sending them to school to learn a trade that could be used to create an opportunity for themselves. Because Big Daddy Government can’t carry them anymore!

Daddy Doesn’t Want to Dance Anymore: Chapter 14 “Due to my Blackness”

Welcome once again to another addition of “Daddy Doesn’t Want to Dance Anymore”, a few torn out pages from Chapter 14 “Due to my Blackness”. In this brief excerpt, Lawerence Mc Henry and Deshawn King is discussing race and how African Americans sees themselves in White America.

“What in God’s name gave you the impression that the accomplishments that I’d made were nothing more than simple crumbs from off their tables? Everything that I have gotten, I truly earned on my own, hands down.” I informed.

“You think so?” King asked.

“Why, yes I do.” I answered.

“Well, if that’s the case, I apologize for speaking in your behalf. I’ll just continue speaking hypothetically, as if it’s just me then. So here I am, with this degree hanging on my office wall, giving these white folks all this credit they truly don’t deserve. Instead of them telling me, King we didn’t have anything to do with that, it was all you. But they just embrace it all in without giving it a second thought, and do you know why that is? No need to answer because I got it right here. They take it all in because it’s their education that they provided you with, not yours. Because as I stated earlier, we as African Americans had no control over the educational system, and if we have no control over it then who does? Right.

Meaning all the lies, all of deleted pages that didn’t make into the textbooks, and all of the misinformation that was provided in abundance, was their doing. To succeed all the way to the top as you did, meant that you allowed yourself to be brainwashed by a corrupt educational system. That same system, that was created to cripple our only possibility of escaping our American nightmare of living forever in poverty. I don’t give a fuck how much money you make. You’ll never brake into the ranks of the upper class of our society, or that group that’s known as the one per centers, who actually runs this capitalistic country behind closed doors. Because if that was the case, there would be more than just one percent consuming ninety nine percent of the nations’ wealth, now in this early part of the 21st century correct?

Instead, we were fed a watered down version of our history, that more so damaged our self-esteem instead of building it. As a result, it has paved a road that leads to nowhere. Our journeys into our tomorrows, will uncertainly lead a great of our people deep into the realms of the lost and unknown. I’m afraid to admit it, but at the rate we’re going, only self-destruction awaits for us, on the path we’re headed. It all goes back to the term of if you don’t know your past, you won’t know your future, that statement couldn’t have been the furthest thing from the truth my friend. Over the years through my own observation, I’ve learned just how unique our people actually were. The accomplishments that we have made since the days that followed the end of slavery are unprecedented; however it has been totally ignored inside the classrooms of grade schools all across the country. Due to this malicious act, it bred a generation of youth, who in return embraced this sense of hatred not only towards himself or herself, but also towards anyone and everyone who

resembles them. This has happened because by this time, they have been constantly and systematically convinced that they were considered to be less than worthless before ever reaching high school.

As a matter of fact, I’ll give you an example of just what I’m talking about. A few months ago around the Christmas holidays, I was out shopping for a doll for my daughter in the department store. Since I didn’t have a clue of knowing what I was actually looking for, I’d decided to follow the lead of these two little girls, who were already looking at dolls.

I was hoping that maybe, I could at least get an idea by observing the two of them, as they shopped. I made sure that I kept a safe distance between the girls and myself, in so that my presence wouldn’t make them feel uncomfortable. I didn’t want to alarm them and send them off running away, leaving me high and dry with my mission unaccomplished.

As I crept my way closer to them, I was beginning to hear bits and pieces of their conversation coming in loud and clear. As they began browsing through the variety of dolls, I overheard one girl suggest to the other, that she should choose the black doll in the yellow dress. The response from the other girl blew me away, she stated that the doll was too black for her to be carrying around, instead picked up the white one because she thought it was more beautiful. Man, I couldn’t believe what the fuck I was hearing, man I’ll never forget that shit for as long as I live. Who or what ever gave her the impression that the color of her skin wasn’t beautiful? Man, she couldn’t have been any more than maybe, eight or nine years old and yet here she was, already convinced that due to her blackness she hated the skin she was in.

At that age, you’ve probably done completed at least six years of school by now, especially if you factor in pre k. So you mean to tell me that in just six years you’re already convinced that being white is far better than being black in America? Something is extremely wrong here Suit, because at that time in our lives, we should believe that the sky is the limit. We should believe that we can become anything we desire to become, if we

just put our minds to it. What could have possibly stripped them of dreaming the impossible dream at such a young age? Within six years, a weed was planted and it has outgrown faster than we could have ever imagined, and that monstrous seed was the tools that were used to educate us. In the end, we embraced a philosophy of holding them up, while at the same time we insisted on keeping ourselves down. Man, you here it all the time, about the crossing over and making it to the other side whether it be to the suburbs, in music industry, or on the films crossing over was considered the thing to do if you wanted to succeed.

But crossing over to what? White America? Out of the ghetto? Out of the public schools? What, I ask. I really need to know. Because after you made it, you now have to ask yourself, at what cost. Turning your back on the only person who defines who you truly are? Disassociating yourself with other black folk because you feel that maybe your boss won’t understand? I guess what I really want to know is why do we have this need in wanting them to accept us more than we’re willing to accept ourselves, while at the same time they could care less whether we accept them or not. Just take a moment or so to think about whenever there was a time when white folks were dying to move into one our upper class black communities? And if they did how long would they tolerate having a cross being burned on their front yard to force them out? Don’t bother to answer those questions because the answer don’t exist. Because instead of crossing over they’re too busy crossing out and far away from our black assess my friend.

The Teachers has done their part, Parents its your turn to save the Schools
In my previous post “54 Chicago Public Schools Closed and Your City is Next” I shed some light on the dynamics that were instrumental in causing the massive school closings throughout the city of Chicago, or should I say the inner city of Chicago. As I stated, this was at least 10 years in the making, all the marches, protests, and rallies will not make much difference now because the decisions have already been made while we were sleeping. In other words, the energy you’re putting into organizing another march will be fruitless because marches will have no impact on their pockets. You see, this is all about money and the sad reality of it all, it’s all about your money, your tax paying dollars.
Don’t get it twisted, although the schools are losing money, it’s your money that they are losing because these are public schools and not private or catholic schools. In order for these public schools to run efficiently, it needs the resources  of tax paying dollars to do so which comes from you the people and parents of Chicago. It’s not that these schools are failing to perform, instead it’s  the resources that has been provided to the schools has been abused, lost, and stolen by individuals that sat in high positions in the Board of Education and city Government. I have provided an article to give you an idea in exactly what I am talking about.

 http://gapersblock.com/mechanics/2010/05/03/the-education-revolt-the-chicago-models-fallout/

As you can see, teachers have been fighting this battle for quite some time along with parents in preserving the operation of their local schools, but it has been a uphill battle for the last ten years or so, where today we are witnessing the closing of 54 schools. Now it’s time for the parents and community leaders to pick up where the teachers has left off, it’s time for you to get organized and make a stand and not another march! A plan needs to be made that will have an impact on the pocket of those that are sitting at the big table making decisions that are effecting the safety and education of your children. The  biggest and most effective impact is the attendance of the school’s student body that first week of school, it is here where the school is granted their budget. This is why they invest so much time and energy in stressing the importance of reporting to school on the first day. Their pockets are depending on having your child place his or her behind in the classroom!
So what do we need to do? well first of all you can start by keeping your children home that first week, or connect with your community church and church leaders to house your children in their church. No law official will dare step foot inside of a church to remove a child. Reach out to former teachers and staff members of the school that was closed in your community to see if they could volunteer their services in assisting your children at the church. Second, reach out to local restaurants,  diners, and corner stores to see if they could donate food and others goods to provide nourishment to the children.  Considering the weather will be fairly pleasant, there can be a great deal of fun activities for the children to do outside. Within this first week, continue to reach out and work with the Board of Education to reopen your community school. Be direct in your decision making, and refuse to back down on anything less, draw out ideas that will enhance the quality of your child’s school, overall just continue to play an active role in fighting to keep your school open!
Be sure to reach out to community leaders and your Alderman and political figures that relied on your vote to get into office, remind them that election time is around the corner and that you see no need in their services if they are unwilling to fight for you!
Just remember this, nobody is going to give you anything worth having, you my friend must fight for it!

54 Chicago Public Schools Closing and Your City is Next

Just a little over a week ago, Chicago Public School announced the closing of 52 schools that will effect the inner city communities on the South and West-side of Chicago. The closing of these schools had been looming in the air for months now,  leaving every teacher and staff member on edge hoping their school wouldn’t be on the chopping block. The news sent shock waves throughout the city, everyone seemed to be surprised by the decision made from the Board of Education.
However, in all honesty if we had paid close attention over these past few years we would have seen the writing on the wall a long time ago. For the last ten years the Board of Education had been cutting positions throughout the school system weakening the strength of the Teacher’s Union bit by bit, piece by piece. Every CEO since the exit of Paul Vallas had made drastic moves in cutting the resources in the public schools, and with the implication of Renaissance 2012 by the former Mayor of Chicago Richard Daley Chicago Public Schools didn’t stand a snowball chance in hell of surviving. Soon Programs were being cut, resources were cut, money was disappearing, and new Charter schools were popping up  throughout the city like popcorn. With the help of the Media, these new and unproven Charter schools gave the impression that they were to answer to a crumbling school system. No one ever stop to focus on the parents, instead all the blame was placed on the teachers, all of a sudden their salary were blasted in the news paper to show the public just how overpaid these teachers were and how they were sucking the system dry.
Don’t get me wrong, there were quite a few teachers in the system that needed to be removed however there were just as many if not more Administrators that needed to be remove as well but instead was being rewarded by the very same Board of Education for their incompetence of running their school to the ground. We have to keep in mind that the teachers were only as strong as their Administrator, there’s only so much a teacher can get away with, so if you have a horrible teacher it is more than likely they were granted a pass or were turned a blind eye by their immediate supervisor.  You see, in order to justify closing a school it has to be failing from the inside out, so people were place in key positions to be decision makers that had no background in education. As a matter of fact, most of these new decision makers were not even from Chicago instead they came in from different regions of the nation, they had no idea in knowing the dynamics of Chicago’s inner city children. But don’t take my word for it, check it out for yourself, from the current CEO all the way down. Check out where they were from and what were their background before they stepped in as CEO of Chicago Public Schools, you will be surprised at what you’ll find.
What’s happening in Chicago is just the tip of the Iceberg, Chicago was the initial tool to get the ball rolling for other cities to follow. I would love to put the blame on the current Mayor of Chicago, but in all honesty this is much bigger than him because as I stated earlier the former Mayor had already set things in motion ten years prior. Plus we can not ignore the fact that our current President supports the expansion of charter schools and believes the Teacher’s Union needed to be stripped of it’s power. The move to close down these public schools was a necessary move by the government because they can no longer afford to carry the people on their back due to these continuous wars and Wall Street corruption. This isn’t about the children, this is about the government saving their ass by cutting expenses and turning it over to the private sector to fill that void. You see, with the implication of charter schools there will be no teacher’s union to demand a decent salary along with a manageable classroom size. Instead they will be working longer hours on a lesser salary and this will be the future of Education throughout the Nation.

Stories From Around the World “Tunde Dike of Nigeria”

Welcome Back Fam! It’s been quite a while since we posted our last blog, and we would like to take the time to apologize for the extended gap. We are continuing to find more exciting ways to both inform and entertain our readers, this addition will be no exception. We entitle this piece  “Stories From Around the World” we are providing you stories from our brothers and sisters all over the world just to give you a deeper insight about our world around us.

This young author is Tunde Dike and he is from Nigeria, Tunde is a gifted poet and writer in his country. Tunde is also a student seeking to not only empower himself through education but also empower those around him with his education to make life better for everyone. We had the pleasure of meeting Tunde through social media and was very moved by not only his experience in his homeland, but also by his passion and determination to do more for his people especially the youth. Tunde had shared with us the struggles in which he and his people face to receive a quality education, Tunde stressed to us that education is close to impossible for poor people to receive in his country. Tunde realized at a very early age the importance of education, how it could be used as a weapon defend oneself from being exploited by the powers that be as well as how education can grant you the wings you need to soar high. The desire to drive and push for an education isn’t a individual dream for Tunde, the children of his country share the same passion, they all want to break free from the chains of poverty.

The reason why we of Globally Speaking is sharing this story is because we of Globally Speaking believe that here in America, our youth has taken education for granted, free education keep in mind! Our children here in the States have no idea in understanding the extreme measures other countries are taking to deprive their countrymen quality education. Don’t get us wrong, our public schools are in dire need of re-structuring of their own, the curriculum as well as the conditions inside some of these school buildings is horrible. Our teachers are overworked and under paid because America believes that it is more important to spend a great deal of money for new prisons and military weapons and not enough money to fund our inner city public schools. However, we can not sit here and deny that there are plenty of  opportunities for us in this country, opportunities our children are either ignoring or taking for granted. Opportunities children in other countries will never be granted the chance to ever experience.

So from Globally Speaking…”Stories from Around the World!”

My name is ‘Tunde Dike from egbema in Imo state,Nigeria. I was born on July 22,1979. I am a mail artist,a member of International Union Of Mail Artist IUOMA and a spoken word poet. My father is Late Chief S.E Dike and my mother Mrs Beatrice Dike.
Life have painted a picture that lived in my mind. In this picture I see the reason to rewrite history without pen…everyday I see responsibilities then I keep asking “who is that somebody?” because everybody needs somebody. Pain makes life more interesting to me.
In my mum’s cradle I had a dream. As a child all I see is walls of impossibility because my dirty primary school’s classroom that gave me a wrong definition but growing up a soldier with scars, I see a bridge that leads to the other brighter side. True happiness comes from making others happy.
September 19,2005 on a mission to help some accident victims on the Lagos/Ibadan expressway,a  commercial bus hit us again with the victims and I was involved. My two legs were fractured and wounds all over my body. They took us to Ogun State University Teaching Hospital OSUTH after some weeks they went on official strike action dued to the non payment of the officials salary. We were all left there without medical treatment.
My left leg developed chronic osteomyllitis of the left tibia and there was no money from my parent to pay for the surgery and physiotherapy bills. I spent years in pain on bed and i have to voluntarily dropped out of school to the street when there was no hope. Those days I prayed for death because life seems wicked. I grew with the ghetto pains if you give me pencil and pad I can sketch the face of poverty because I know how it looks like. I couldn’t work properly again and I didn’t want to be a burden to anybody so I started making postcards selling some and submitting some via post and email for International Mail Art Project. I participated in several International Mail Art Projects especially in Italy. In 2010,I became the only African that participated in Mail Us Art in Poland http: //mailusart.blogspot.com/2010/08/tunde-dike.html As a member of IUOMA I organized international Mail Art project titled “Mail Art to Africa” twice http://mailartprojects.blogspot.com/2009/11/mail-art-to-africa.html in 2009 and
http://mailartprojects.blogspot.com/2012/09/mail-art-to-africa-2012.html
In 2012.
My Dad died few weeks to my birthday and they have to take his corpse to my hometown on July 22 my birthday. According to the customs and traditions the first son have to dress up the copse…on my birthday I was with my dad lying in the coffin. My Dad was really a lost gem. I started another life of a lonely and naked guy in the cold world. Those experiences became a motion picture to me. Pain makes life more interesting . My life and all I have seen in the ghetto community motivated the dream I had in my Mum’s cradle and I started ” Save A Dream Today” as a poet I started this project by gathering street kids, teaching them how to rhyme, how to draw and also how to make a postcards.
My country Nigeria is having a security problem presently because a terrorist group called Boko Haram with their deadly acts they have rendered so many Nigerians homeless. I started seeking for used clothes from my fellow poet abroad and I took the clothes to the people in the camps and the homeless in the streets.
I use paper to design sets from Drama presentation and my dream is to be a Graphic Artist. With this I can be more able to support my self and  people. I have a dream of better living.
Poverty is a poison, education is an antidote.
I want to enroll for a Diploma Programme on Graphic Designs. I have spent years searching for  this antidote, shedding this silent tears on every December. I have decided that a dream worth dying for and I am ready….
This 2013 the only smile on my face is me studying Graphic Design.
Education is a weapon for black people and this is the time to fight for freedom not just the end of slavery.
Sean Carter says “how could I help the poor if I am one of them”. If I have Diploma in Graphic Design I can secure a better job and design better lives with my skills.
I need a financial supports for the school fees and materials. Put a smile on my face. Help me in turning my dream into reality. My mind is the only hope I have but when ever I look into the street I see dying giants.
If I become a Graphic Artist the world becomes a more beautiful place.

‘Tuned Dike.
Nigeria,West Africa.

Globally Speaking news segment April 29, 2011 The Alleged Ceiling Debt Deal

Welcome back family! We hope you have been getting well informed as well as entertained with our weekly posts. We appreciate all the comments and support, to the best of our ability we will continue to put forth the effort of providing you with the most controversial and intriguing articles that you would otherwise not obtain through mainstream media.

This week’s edition comes from a news segment we aired earlier this year in April, we shed some light on the whole disenfranchisement of the Super Committee who were assembled to make a decision on the Ceiling Debt back on November 23, 2011 “The Alleged Deadline Date”. The reason we covered this story was because we were under the impression that this situation with the debt was resolved. To the best of our knowledge due to the fact it wasn’t being reported in the news as often to keep us informed of the progress, we of Globally Speaking was under the impression the debt deal was settled. But then again maybe it was just us, maybe the rest of the nation was well informed of this news and it was just news to Globally Speaking. Don’t get me wrong, I do believe it more than likely made the news, however I don’t think it was something that they kept re-broadcasting  like they do when it comes to covering stories about our star entertainers and athletes.

You know it’s one of of those we told you but we didn’t tell you type of situations, meaning it made the morning news but don’t think you’ll be able to see it again on the evening news. Keep in mind that I’m only speaking for myself, I could be totally wrong about this. Maybe it was just me that missed this however I do have a gut feeling that I’m not alone in this, that’s why we of Globally Speaking put this news segment together for our listeners to be on the safe side. We believe timing is everything, because our presidential election is just around the corner, so with so much nonsense filling the airwaves from both sides of the campaigns we felt that this would be a great opportunity to take a look at our current situation. Though this story was reported months ago you will see just how relevant it holds today at this very moment  just before we go to the polls.

This budget crises still remains on the table, meaning regardless who wins this election this will be waiting for them as they enter the White House yet neither candidate has said anything to address a solution to this deficit our nation will be facing not only in 2012 but in 2013.  We might not fully understand what is going on with this deficit, but don’t think the rest of the world is in the dark. Don’t think China don’t have a clue in what is going on, because as reported in our last blog China is seeking to replace our currency, Iran along with the rest of the Middle-East has no fear of the United States. We may be in the dark as nation, but the rest of the world is fully aware of our money troubles here in this country. We of Globally Speaking hope you enjoy the video presentation we put together to get you caught up, and please if you can make a donation to help support our cause to provide you with unfiltered news and information from around the world your contribution would be much appreciated thank you!

The Belief System

We can say we believe in God, but can we say we actually know who or what God is? Maybe life is not meant to be understood, maybe it’s just meant to be lived and cherished while we’re here. We say life is a blessing and no one wants to Die, but at the same time we say we love God and want to be near Him. Somewhere along the line, something has gotten twisted for we are worshiping the Spiritual right alongside to the Material World. There was a time when Death was celebrated, now today in the last 2012 yrs Death has become a punishment……. However, as I see it….We were all Born to Die……..So it’s only obvious to believe  that we must Die to Live..Maybe Death is the Beginning and not the End…..
